We bid farewell to James William Walker Sr. of Clingman, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 22, 2024 at the age of 88. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his mother Maggie Walker; his wife Freddie Ann Wooten Walker; his daughter Tammy Lynn Wooten; and his siblings, Sam Childress, Bobby Childress (Buck), June Walker and Frances Welborn (Susie).
He is survived by: his siblings, Rodney Walker (Carrie) and Peggy Brown (Larry) of Clingman; his children, Rocky Walker (Yvonne) of Yadkinville and Lavonne Walker of Clemmons; and his grandsons, Wesley Walker of Conway and Carson Walker of Charlotte.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (3982 Clingman Rd, Ronda, NC 28670). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered for SECU Hospice Care Center in Yadkinville and the Alzheimer's Association.
