Though Mark James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Berkstresser and Lucy Berkstresser; and his siblings, John Thomas, Louanne and Jo Anna.
He is survived by: his nephews, Cody and Dalton Lathan; his wife Elizabeth; his children, Laura Jo (Heather) of Colfax and John Mark (Mary) of Raleigh; his siblings, Banna Lathan of Reidsville and Keith (Michele) of Loxahatchee, FL; and his granddaughter Joanna of Raleigh. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home – Kernersville Chapel (3950 Macy Grove Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284).
