It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Hurlocker Bishop of Climax, North Carolina, who passed away on October 1, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father William Shouford Hurlocker. She is survived by: her husband James Wilber Bishop, Sr.; her stepchildren, Janet Sue Bishop and James Wilber Bishop, Jr.; her mother Annie Elizabeth Hurlocker; and her sisters, Mary Ann Hurlocker and Alice Hurlocker. She is also survived by three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
