We are sad to announce that on March 22, 2018, at the age of 91, Clara Mowery Tilley (Climax, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Jesse Lee Mowery and Ethel Clara Briggs Mowery; and her siblings, Juanita M. Clontz, Lula M. Connolly, Louise M. Rucker and Ray Mowery.
She is survived by: her spouse Roscoe Thomas Tilley; her daughters, Brenda T. Payne (Kim) of Climax and Carolyn T. Hazelwood (Lonnie) of Trinity; her siblings, Dorothy M. Dillard of Texas and Richard Mowery (Joe) of Delaware; her grandsons, Mark Payne, Scott Payne and Lee Miller; her great grandchildren, Spencer Payne, Connor Payne, Ethan Payne, Samantha Miller and Darren Miller; and her sister-in-law Shirlean Mowery of Pleasant Garden. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Clara's memory to Rocky Knoll Baptist Church, 501 Kirkland St., Greensboro, NC, 27406.
