She was predeceased by: her parents, Linder Lee Jolley and Mamie Vioney Earls Jolley; her husbands, Arnold Talmadge Owens and James Earl Kirby; her son Joseph Eugene Owens; her siblings, Katie Jolley Harris, Maudean Hunsinger and James Jolley; her grandson Chad Hill; and her great grandchild Steven Dulaney.
She is survived by: her children, Vera Hill Winstead (Anthony) and Michael Owens (Michelle) of Rutherfordton; her grandchildren, Traci Hill, Michaela Owens, Brittany Owens, Cynthia Owens and Micah Owens; her great grandchild Jordan Hill; and her daughter-in-law Tara Owens of Cliffside.
