She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd McGaha and Joann Shepard McGaha; her husband Bill Blanton; her siblings, Captain Harold Furman McGaha, Gene McGaha, Tava McGaha Fouts, Carl McGaha and Dot McGaha; and her grandchildren, Leanna Coggins and Jeremy Starr.
She is survived by: her children, Robert L. Starr, Jr. (Pam) of Asheville, Candy Lynn Starr of Cliffside and Austin G. Coggins (Farryn) of Forest City; her siblings, Joe Lyle McGaha (Debbie) of Rutherfordton, Nancy Faye Johnson of Franklin, NC and Johnny McGaha (Lois) of Liberty, SC; and her grandchildren, Stacy Dobbins (Jason), Travis Coggins (Ashlee), Dylan Coggins (Gracie), David Reed (Rebecca) and Tina Maggard. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
