We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2020, at the age of 96, Vernie Melton of Cleveland, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernie Melton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Hoyle and Hester Sigmon Hoyle; her husband Colon Martin Melton; and her son Wayne Melton. She is survived by: her children, Dean Melton (Linda) of Brandon, MS, Linda Holland (Danny) of Woodruff, SC and Kathy Hendrick of Boiling Springs, NC; and her sisters, Ruth Brown and Mavin Swofford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.
