It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy Ledford of Cleveland, North Carolina, born in Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman B. Ledford and Bertha Waters Ledford; his wife Betty J. Mode Ledford; his former wife Gerrydine Honeycutt Ledford; and his siblings, Willie, Bob, James, Dennis and Shirley.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Ledford of Kings Mountain, NC and Don Ledford (Jennifer) of Cliffside, NC; his stepdaughters, Robin Kiser (John) of Boiling Springs, NC and Beth Cabaniss of Shelby, NC.; his sister Lib Lovelace (Fred); his siblings-in-law, Becky Ledford of Earl, NC, Marilyn Bridges of Shelby, NC, Becky Smith of Shelby, NC, Sheila Wellmon of Shelby, NC, Peggy Mains of Zionville, NC, Judy Dale of Oxford, MS, Tommy Mode (Gayle) of Shelby, NC and Jay Aldridge (Suma) of Boone, NC; his grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Kiser of Boston, MA and Matt Kiser (Abby) of Statesville, NC; his great grandchildren, Corban Kiser and Callie Kiser; and his pets, Maddie Grace and Chance.
