He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred McCoy and Margaret McCoy; his former wife Mary Louise Goodman McCoy; his son Donnie McCoy; and his siblings, Bob McCoy and Valerie McCoy.
He is survived by: his wife Lillie Horton McCoy; his children, Robin McCoy (Fay), Frankie Batts (Russell), Sherry Pless (James), Cathy Williams (Danny), Vicky Buff (Mike) and James Frank Beaver, Jr.; his sisters, Helen Wright (Jerry) and Ruth Welch (Arlyn); and his grandchildren, Thoma Butler, Bonnie Smith (Jeremy), Christopher Beaver (Heather), Danny Williams, Jr. (Edna), Christy Ballinger (Jason), Deborah Joyner (Aaron), Tabitha Dillard and T. J. Dillard. He is also survived by twenty one great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
