She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Roland Hudson and Effie Bivens Hudson; and her siblings, Jessie Hudson, Ruby Moses, Leeila Buff, Goldie Ritchie and Mary Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Joel D. Swaney; her stepchildren, Joel D. Swaney, II of Alma, James Swaney of Port Angeles, Washington and Michelle Chisolm of Charleston, SC; and her siblings, Ivey Hudson of Hickory, Fred Hudson of Hickory and Susie Greene of Hildebran. She is also survived by five step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
