He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Lou Poole McCombs. He is survived by: his father Alvin Gaston McCombs; his sister Judy Searcy (Mark) of Fallston; his nephew Benjamin Searcy (Harley) of Lincolnton; his great-nephew Gavin; his great-nieces, Alyssa and Morgan; and his pet Black Jack.
