He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hunter Moorefield and Mary Ethel Tolbert; his son Jeremy Wayne Moorefield; and his siblings, Rachel Mabe and Harold Moorefield.
He is survived by: his daughter Heather Givens (Jay); his grandchildren, Alyssa Griffin, Hannah Moorefield, Hanna Givens and Nick; his brothers, Ralph Moorefield (Phyllis) and John Moorefield (Mary); his sister-in-law Joanne Moorefield; and his close friends, Jerry Knox and Roy Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County or to Friendship Baptist Church.
