She is survived by: her husband Joseph Andrew Whitener; her children, Polly Bennett (Dave) and Andy Whitener (Minda); her grandchildren, Sarah Fisher (Whitener), Melissa Jean Whitener, Joseph Connally DuBose, Richard Narrows DuBose, Ashley DuBose Ledbetter, Holley Chapman and Hadden Bennett Sharapov; and her nieces and nephews, Beth Michael Moncure (Jim) and Claude Falls (Neveen).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center (846 E Stage Coach Trail, Lawndale, NC 28090). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM and at 11:00 PM.
