He was predeceased by: his father Everett Luther; his wife Patricia Christine Cox Dalton; and his siblings, Margie, Molly, Polly, Stan, Sammy and Henry.
He is survived by: his children, Regina, Thomas Parker of Mocksville, Jennifer Berry (Preston) of Mooresville and Harley Dalton (Kayla) of Low Gap; his brothers, Elwood Dalton (Barbara) of Statesville and Curtis Dalton of Cleveland, NC; and his grandchildren, Dallas, Topanga, Paige, Carissa, Wyatt, Audrey, Grant, Preston, III, Daniel, Cody and Corbin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
