He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lee Wilson Bridges and Ocie Elizabeth Bridges (Cooper); his son Mark Bridges; his daughter-in-law Sonya; and his siblings, Frank Bridges, Charles Bridges, Dot Curtis, Marie Hoyle, Ruby Laws, Trilba Ellis and Wilda Bridges.
He is survived by: his friends, Bud Killian, Jim Kiser and Richard Morgan; his wife Dorothy Poston Bridges; his son Scott Bridges (Susie) of Shelby; his grandchildren, Heather Bridges Moore (Jon) of Shelby and Thad Bridges of Shelby; and his sister Deloris Adams (Mike) of Spartanburg, SC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and several faithful caregivers.
