It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Cornelia Pearson of Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on May 4, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Zoreather Turner Cowan; her husband George Lee Pearson; her father Elvert Walter Cowan; and her siblings, Joseph Cowan, Arthur Cowan, Elvert W. Cowan Jr., Estelle Rouse, Helen Gaither, Sarah Gaither and Mildred Hill.

She is survived by: her children, Anthony Jerome Cowan, Curtis Lee Pearson, Fred Demario Pearson, Diana Caldwell and Jacqueline Pearson.
