She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence R. Bower and Alka Bays Bower; her husband Gid Dane Black, Jr.; and her great grandchild Chandler Tatum. She is survived by: her children, Gid Black, III (Ann) of Statesville, Lisa Cochran (Jiles) of Cleveland, Rhoda Black (Bruce Barker) of Harmony and Rhonda Reaves (Jerry) of Salisbury; and her grandchildren, Justin Cochran, Christopher Black, Jessica Tatum, Dylan Wyles, Michael Atkinson, Brandy Black, Leo Black, Lauren Wyles, Dane Wyles and Robert Banks, III. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren; and 2 siblings.
