He was predeceased by: his parents, Bunyan Clarence Collins and Dorothy May Dailey. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Yarborough Collins; his daughters, Linda Wood (Thomas) and Lisa Ann Collins; his stepdaughters, Stacy Hatoway and Leslie Smith (Steve); his grandchildren, Ashley Wood Edwards (Andrew), Christopher Thomas Wood, Reagan McCubbins, Nicholas Smith, Blake McCubbins, Justin Smith (Sydnee) and Paul Smith; and his great grandchildren, Ethan Edwards, Cooper Wood, Azelea Smith, Marlie Smith and Saylor Smith.
A reception will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home (494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115).
In lieu of flowers the family requests potted plants or donate to S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House, Mooresville, NC.
