William Craig Magness Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Craig Magness of Clemmons, North Carolina, who passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Magness and Billie Magness (Craig); his wife Anne Magness; and his son Steven J. Magness. He is survived by: his children, Lynn Magness Basler, Julie L. Magness and David Magness (Linda); his grandchildren, Kyle Basler (Sarah), Ryan Basler (Lindsey), Rachel Welsch (Mike), Daniel Basler (Kimberly), Nicole Boyette (Hunter), Caitlin Merced (Miguel), Anthony Mauro (Kayla) and Michael Magness (Amy); and his pet Jackie. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
A wake will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Frank Vogler & Sons (2849 Middlebrook Dr, Clemmons, NC 27012). A burial will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Anne and Bill Magness Meals on Wheels Fund through the Winston-Salem Foundation's donation page (linked below), or to the Clemmons Food Pantry—both causes that were especially close to Bill's heart.
