He was predeceased by: his wife Elli; his daughter Vickie Lynn; his great grandchildren, Radha Taylor and Jacob; and his brothers, Artis and Shorty.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dyanne Stanley and Rena Waring; his grandchildren, Sandi Alspaugh, Harley Hall, Shahon Stanley, Britt Heath, Dustie Waring and Tanner Briggs; his great grandchildren, Alex, Hailey, Lorelai, Lincoln, Ryder, Lennox and Eleyci; his sister Frances Cave; his nephew Arlin Stanley; and his adoptive son Robert Horn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Silas Creek Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Mausoleum Chapel (6135 Ridgecrest Point, Winston-Salem, NC 27103).
