He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gale Hafer and Elizabeth Puncheon Hafer; his daughter Nicole Crouse; and his sister Judith Hafer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Haake Hafer; his daughters, Heather Rivers (William) and Kimberly Hafer (Darrell Wood); his son-in-law Dale Crouse; his grandchildren, Christopher Wood, Hannah Rivers, Emily Miles (Joshua), Robert Crouse (Michaella), Sarah Rivers, Sam Crouse, Zach Wood (Kaitlyn) and Molly Rivers; his great grandchildren, Dominic, Oliver, Hallie, Maverick, Levi and Daisy; and his siblings, Tom Hafer (Paula), Cindy Swanner (Jim), Barb Strauch, Jeff Hafer (Marilyn) and Greg Hafer (Deb). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
