It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard T Prevette of Clemmons, North Carolina, who passed away on July 28, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vander Turner Prevette and Dorcas Tate Prevette; his sister Donna Townsend; his grandfather Ricky; his wife Renee Snellings Prevette; his children, David Prevette (Tricia) of Lexington and Dawn Wilson (Loyd) of Wake Forest; his siblings, Ted Prevette of Lexington, Paul Prevette (Trisha) of Welcome, Mark Prevette (Vicky) of Yadkinville, Peggy Prevette Utt (Ken) of Kenly, Janice Hedrick (Kenny) of Lexington and Brenda Forrest (Rick) of Welcome; his brother-in-law Mike Townsend of Lexington; and his grandchildren, Peyton Prevette, Riley Prevette, Gabby Wilson and Alexa Wilson.

“I was very sorry to learn of Rick's passing. Rick gave me my first job in 1976 working as a brick mason's laborer in the Lexington area. In the summers of my high school years I worked with Rick and his crew. Rick was a good mason, and as a young guy in his teens, I learned a lot about the value of hard work from him. Rick had a great sense of humor, and he and his brothers Paul and Ted and I had many good laughs while bricking houses. --Joe Walters, Wake Forest”
