He is survived by: his wife Nanette Creasy Spainhour; his children, John R. Spainhour (Sue), Jeff G. Spainhour (Jennifer) and Jo Anna S. Nifong (Jimmy); and his brother Ronald Spainhour. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson.
