He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard James Mendenhall and Luna Viola Sink Mendenhall; and his wife Sue Kepley Mendenhall. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Mendenhall (Kim) of Lexington, Kathy Hamilton (Donald) of Clemmons and Stacy Hill (Tony) of Clemmons; his sisters, Kay Beck of Clemmons, Margaret Freedle of Lexington and Brenda Leonard (Jimmy) of Winston Salem; his grandchildren, Amanda Padgett (Josh), Mason Hamilton, Hope Mendenhall, Carter Hamilton, Gavin Hill and Gracin Hill; and his great grandchildren, Adam Padgett and Katie Padgett.
