She was predeceased by: her husband Gary Knight of Madison, NC; her sister Glenda Cheek of Springfield, TN; and her parents, Unis Thompson and Pauline Thompson of Winston-Salem, NC. She is survived by: her son Matthew Knight of Pittsburgh, PA; and her granddaughter Savannah Gunnels of Wilmington, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request, given her love of animals, donations/gifts be made to your local Humane Society.
