He is survived by: his wife Joy Wendt; his brothers, Erich Wendt, Jr. and Frank Wendt of Brush Prairie; his daughter Deborah Wendt of Bermuda Run; his grandchildren, Jeff Wendt, Lindsay Gioeli of Bermuda Run, Jay, Anna Daggett of Clemmons, Mitchell, Ashley Kyle of Clemmons, Chris, Shelby Moxley of Mocksville, Sadee and Daniel Moxley of Mocksville; and also, Brody, Blakely, Bennett, Brooks Daggett, Adeline, Elsie Kyle, Avery Zerr, Emmy, Ava Moxley and Willow Moxley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
