It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Garris White (Clemmons, North Carolina), who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Von Garris, Sr. and Rosa Lee Durham Garris; her husband Luther C. White; and her siblings, Lucille Blackburn, Mary Wiles, Lewis Everette Garris, Victor Eller Garris, Emmanuel Garris, Ray Von Garris, Jr. and Peggy Ann Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Larry C. White (Lori) and Diane W. Beal (Christopher); her grandchildren, Ashley W. Vernon, Morgan Cooper (Stewart), Chandler White, Christopher Lucas Beal (Meg) and Tyler J. Beal; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Hazel Beal, Owen Lucas Beal and Grant Rutledge Beal; and her sister Rosa Lee Mathis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
