He was predeceased by: his father James Luke Thomas; and his siblings, Faye Davis, Shirley Stewart and Steve Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Shannon LaFever (Robert) of Woodland Park, CO, Brad Thomas of Charlotte and Jay Thomas (Crystal) of Winston-Salem; and his grandchildren, Dalton LaFever, Elise Marquette (Eli), Alaina LaFever, Haydn Thomas, Sydney Thomas, Madisyn Thomas, Jackson Thomas and Lincoln Thomas.
