She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Clinton Thomas and Anna Violet Wood Thomas; her siblings, Webb Thomas, Keith Thomas, Richard Thomas, Anna Lou Poteat, Rebecca Poteat and Birdie Joe Keaton; and her granddaughter Savannah Ashley Hoffman.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Essex; her daughters, Lisa Bailey (Shane), Deb Hoffman (Jeff), Melissa Holloway and Laiken Essex; her brothers, Frankie Thomas (Carol) and Bruce Thomas (Donna); her grandchildren, Austin Hoffman (Hannah), Lauren Holloway, Megan Bailey, Dillon Bailey (Krystal), Kaitlyn Holloway, Krissy Angell (Luke), Dalton Osborne and Jaidyn Shepherd; and her great grandchildren, Oakley Angell, Colton Angell, Xander Childress and Ellie Triplett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
