He is survived by: his children, David O'Brien (Angie) of Advance, NC and Katie Carlton (Zack) of Advance, NC; his grandchildren, Rylie of Advance, NC., Colton O'Brien of Advance, NC., Braeden of Advance, NC. and Chandler Carlton of Advance, NC.; his sister Vickie Brophy (Jim) of Oak Island, NC; and his niece Sarah Blevins (Ben) of Winston-Salem, NC..
