She was predeceased by: her parent Julia Bonds Dula; her husband Verdell Phillip Michaux; her children, Paul Douglas Michaux and Lydia Arleen Michaux; and her sister Diann Dula Corpening.
She is survived by: her parent Joseph Shives, Sr.; her children, Verdell DeCaron Michaux, Sr. of Greensboro, NC, Wanda Michaux of Atlanta, GA and Julia Elizabeth Michaux Gilmore (Tommie) of Winston-Salem; and her siblings, Jeanette Brown, Joseph Shives (Ann) of Fairfield, OH and Robert P. Shives (Marion) of Lenior, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
