She was predeceased by: her parents, Telas Poteat and Pansy McGlamery Poteat. She is survived by: her husband James M. Hutchens; her son Mitch Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Nash and Kylie Brown of Charlotte; and her brother Joby F. Poteat (Joan) of Clemmons.
