She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby Jack Yates; her parents, Martina Perkins Shewmaker and Alvin Lee Shewmaker of Mackville, KY; and her grandson Justin Yates of Jacksonville, FL.. She is survived by: her children, Joseph Yates (Elizabeth) of Charlotte, NC, Douglas Yates of Greer, SC and Cindy Anders (Greg) of Winston-Salem; her grandson Jonathan Anders (Tracy) of Mebane, NC; her great grandchildren, Georgia Mae Anders and Ashley Yates of Jacksonville, FL.; and her siblings, David Shewmaker, Sue Carter and Nancy Logue (Billy).
