He was predeceased by: his former wife Violet Marie; and his sons, Luther and David Bracknell. He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn; his children, Keith (Debbie) and Sandra (Bob); and his stepchildren, Debbie (Randy), Bobby (Dee), Wendy, Tim (Paula) and Art (Robin). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
