He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lonzo and Ester Plyler Burris; and his granddaughter Anna Reep. He is survived by: his wife Judy Burris; his children, Tammy Mattox (Mark) of Lewisville, Theresa Reep (Barry) of Lexington, Larry "Chuck" Burris, Jr. of Winston-Salem and Darren Burris (Becky) of Mt. Airy; his grandchildren, Kerri Humphrey, Whitney Williams (Shawn) and Jesse Mattox; and his great grandchildren, Raelyn, Lakelyn and Hamlyn.
