It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kanuto R Medina (Clemmons, North Carolina), born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on September 8, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Frank Medina; and his daughters, Stephanie Capps and Teresa McDermod. He is survived by: the mother of his children Betty Smith Medina; his children, Monica Medina-Murphy (Jeff) and Knute "Buddy" Medina; his sisters, Mickey Rojas, Lupe Lau, Paula Vutich and Juanita Ray; his sons-in-law, William 'Chip' Capps, Bob McDermod and Jeff Murphy; his grandchildren, Jennifer Capps, Bill Capps (Sandra), Sara McDermod, Bill McDermod (Jennifer), Melanie Wall (Nick), Michael Murphy (Jessica) and Taylor McAninch; and his great grandchildren, Holden Capps, Scarlett Murphy and Kit Wall.

He was called home after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
