It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johanne Louise Powell (Clemmons, North Carolina), who passed away on December 4, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Charles Harris Powell; her children, Suzanne Hess MD (Mark) of Advance, NC. and Jeffrey Scott Powell (Allison) of Greenville, SC.; her grandchildren, Jaclyn Hess Spagnola, Hannah Hess Lackey, Justin Hess, Reid Powell and Layton Powell; and her great grandchildren, Clara Spagnola, Charles Lackey, Alyse Lackey and James Lackey.
