It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johanne Louise Powell (Clemmons, North Carolina), who passed away on December 4, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her husband Dr. Charles Harris Powell; her children, Suzanne Hess MD (Mark) of Advance, NC. and Jeffrey Scott Powell (Allison) of Greenville, SC.; her grandchildren, Jaclyn Hess Spagnola, Hannah Hess Lackey, Justin Hess, Reid Powell and Layton Powell; and her great grandchildren, Clara Spagnola, Charles Lackey, Alyse Lackey and James Lackey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clemmons United Methodist Church, Clemmons, NC or the Clemmons Food Pantry, Clemmons, NC.
