He was predeceased by: his father James Clinton; and his sister Carolyn Gray Hart. He is survived by: his wife Bernice; his daughters, Paula Gray Martin (Jeff) and Carrie Britt Brinkley (Mike); his grandchildren, Alicia White (Jake), Caitlyn Berrier and Christina Brinkley; his stepgrandson Nick Martin (Brandy); his great grandchildren, Clay, Lily, Adyson and Maddox; and his stepgreat-grandson Briggs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brenner Children's Hospital, Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
