He is survived by: his daughter Lauren Elizabeth Grooms of Tempe Arizona; his mother Brenda Gentry Grooms of Clemmons; his brothers, Wesley Grooms of Mobile Alabama and Heath Grooms of Enka Candler; his niece Madeline Gentry Grooms of Enka Candler; his aunt Judith Gentry Kirkpatrick (Ritchie) of Lake Junaluska; his uncle Michael Gentry (Missy Ray) of Waynesville; and his close friend Sherry Ledford of Asheville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Make a Wish Foundation.
