She was predeceased by: her parents, Olin Lewis and Edna Carter Barnhardt; her husband George S. Ford; and her brothers, Derry Barnhardt and Gray Barnhardt.
She is survived by: her sons, George Samuel Ford and Gregg Spencer Ford (Angela); her grandsons, Joseph (Cindy), Christopher and Austin Ford; her siblings, Helen B. Everhart of Clemmons, Ann Barnhardt of Advance, Freda B. Schlaman (Eugene) of Charlotte and George Barnhardt of Advance; and her sister-in-law Laura Jane Barnhardt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
