It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elser Rufus Cuthrell (Clemmons, North Carolina), born in Davidson, North Carolina, who passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Cuthrell and Elizabeth Cuthrell; his child Tobie; and his brothers, George Cuthrell, Jr., Herman Cuthrell, Sr., Lloyd Cuthrell and Perry Cuthrell.
He is survived by: his children, Tomarraw Elizabeth Cuthrell (Tobie) and Rufus Cuthrell, Jr. (Bro); his wife Alberta Cuthrell; his son Hamilton Cuthrell (Kiona) of Winston-Salem, NC; his daughter-in-law Taijuan Cuthrell; his brother Mathew Cuthrell (Jane) of El Paso, TX; his grandchildren, Jaya Williams, Alisha Williams, Anna Cuthrell-Tompkins (Colin), Tatiyona Cuthrell, Jalen Williams, Ashanti Cuthrell and Mikael Cuthrell; his great grandchildren, Messiah Benekin and Sekani Cuthrell-Tompkins; and his sisters-in-law, Julia Hamilton, Geraldine Wall (Leon), Shirley Hamilton, Pecolia Cuthrell and Ella Mae Bush. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
