She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Whitley and Loula Yale Whitley; her husband Paul Francis Vinson, Jr.; and her siblings, A. C. Whitley, Buel Whitley, Raymond Whitley, Ray Whitley, Ruth Wiles and Virginia Holbrook.
She is survived by: her son Robert "Bobby" Vinson; her daughter-in-law Janet Vinson; her granddaughters, Brittany Vinson and Katlin Williard (Jacob); and her brother Jesse Whitley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Silas Creek Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Parklawn Memorial Park (2730 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127).
