We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2022, at the age of 84, Charles William Abbey of Clemmons, North Carolina, born in Rochester, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Robert and Marjorie Louise Abbey. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hughes Abbey; his children, Donna Dunn (Terry Mitchell) of Advance and Marc (Kristen) of Edgewater, MD; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Isaac, Owen and Thomas.

He was a charter member of the North Carolina Bluebird Society, member of the Penn State "S" club as well as the American Chestnut Foundation.
