He was predeceased by: his parents, Olive Lundy Overby and James Fausta Overby; and his wife Elaine Rosemary Taro Overby. He is survived by: his daughter Lara D. Overby; his son-in-law J. Mark Crook of Winston-Salem; and his sisters, Carole Stein (Ed) of Baltimore and Sylvia Golden of Kernersville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. C. Green Funeral Home (10301 NC-109, Winston-Salem, NC 27107). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Eastlawn Gardens (530 Dobson St, Kernersville, NC 27284).
