With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bessie Thornburg of Clemmons, North Carolina, who passed away on August 25, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Mullins and Alice Hinkle Mullins; and her husband James F. Thornburg. She is survived by: her children, Candy Holley (Jay), Vertrice Mead (Gerald), William Timothy Brown (Elizabeth), Jami Mehaffey (Paul), Joann Thornburg, Janet Sanders, James F. Thornburg, Jr. (Gail) and Sheila Brown. She is also survived by great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family is requesting everyone to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
