He was predeceased by: his parents, Bunyan Paul and Mavis Barbour Davis; his wife Barbrey Davis (Barb); and his sisters, Margaret Holloman and Audrey Crocker.

He is survived by: his children, William "Buddy" Davis (Amy) of Willow Spring and Ramona Gay Dameron (John) of Scottsdale, AZ; his brother Lewis Davis; and his grandchildren, William Tyson Davis and Charlotte G. Dameron.
