He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Turner and Laura Yearby Turner; his wife Mildred Johnson Turner; and his son Jimmy Penny. He is survived by: his son Timmy Penny of McGee's Crossroads; his great grandchildren, Rico Salazar of Greensboro, Gracie Salazar of Greensboro, Emmie Salazar of Greensboro and Maddie Gray of Greensboro; and also, Samantha Penny Salazar of McGee's Crossroads, Lily Penny Carden of Greensboro, Josh Penny of Greensboro and Jennifer Gray of Greensboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Free Will Baptist Children's Home, 7907 Buck Deans Rd, Middlesex, NC 27557.
