She was predeceased by: her parents, Coy Tart and Flonie Mae Tart; her husband Claude Henry Greene, Jr.; and her brother Nelson Tart. She is survived by: her children, Veronica Johnson (Robin) of Sanford, Sophia Shaw (Quintin) of Sanford and Jeremy Greene (Rachel) of Zebulon; and her siblings, Elgie Rhodes (Garland) of Clayton, Linda Smith (Larry) of Clayton, Wade Tart (Joyce) of Clayton, Luther Tart (Joanne) of Raleigh, Jimmy and Betty Greene of Clayton. She is also survived by grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
