He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Schappert and Mary Devine Schappert; and his brother Raymond Schappert. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Flynn Schappert; his sons, Terry Schappert of Duck, NC and Tom Schappert of Clayton, NC; and his grandchildren, Ryan of Clayton and Danielle Schappert of Clayton.
