We are sad to announce that on September 17, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Shirley Lane Pike of Clayton, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert O. Lane and Addie J. Lane; her spouse Delmas Ray Pike; her daughters, Angela Yvette Pike Johnson of Willow Spring, NC and Del Rania Pike of Clayton, NC; and her sister Shelby Lane Teachy.

She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Pike Musser (David) of Callaway, MD.; her granddaughter April Michelle Musser Brand (Leland) of Alpharetta, Georgia; her great grandchild Adeline Michelle Brand; and her sister Sally Lane Dillard (Ted) of Wake Forest, NC.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and adopted grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome memorial contributions to Clayton Town Fire Department, P. O. Box 879, Clayton, NC 27528.

“My heart has been very heavy today. I have been thinking and praying for you Teresa, April and David as you were celebrating YaYa's life and putting her to rest. I so wanted to be there but felt I couldn't due to the current Covid climate. I so very much wanted to come down and visit Shirley as she had beckoned me to, but I couldn't bear the thought of bringing her a germ or Covid with all she was going through healthwise. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers continually.”
